Not exactly sure what you are carrying on about, but from what I can gather from other posts, and in my own experience, the issue with the player not showing up seems to be confined to Internet Explorer.

And for what it is worth, I believe that streaming audio, whether via the flash player or the stream links, is ALL mp3.

Hey, I guess my post may have come off a bit gruff, and I apologize if that is the case, but to paraphrase yours’, I don’t see how the original post really helps anyone either.

Anyhow, perhaps monte will be along soon with some suggestions. Peace.

Humor my Boy, Humor! (WC Fields) Humor is the tendency of particular cognitive experiences to provoke laughter and provide amusement.

I would venture to say that the majority of IA streamers use the Internet Explorer web browser. The VBR M3U suggestion was intended to be helpful. And yes, upon further investigation, Firefox appears to stream normally.

Therefore Einstein, why don't you explain to us less initiated this particular phenomenon?

Didn't I already say I was sorry?
Up until today I have always used IE8.
Using the m3u stream works for me, but slowly and with long gaps between tracks. Something in my configuration probably.

Today was a great day because I finally tried out google chrome, which let me tell you, has greatly enhanced my time here on archive. I am no longer as crabby as I was this morning. Hope the issue gets fixed soon. peace

Maybe he is your Dad. Maybe you are your Dad? Who knew or knows?
v. helps me all the time. You should try it out for 30 days.

Are you Jean-Luc's Dad wanting to make it so and getting the words confused?

You can think all you would like but wishes and buts and like clusters and nuts, it's all granola!
Oh yes, welcome.

But I enjoy replying at times. Very social that way.
Twas just a wee bit of fun ol' Johnny Boy. I'm sorry you think the grog is gone or that your clothes are wet.
Seriously, do you know how IA functions? Do you know the responsibility that IA has to the GD forum? That would be zero. Shut down and gone in a blink. It's tasteless to berate the hand that feeds ( for free!) you in your first post. Also, a lack of class.
What happened to 'Hi Folks! I'm ZZ. And I love '68', for example?
Instead of this whiny boy , 'I'm entitled' crap.

I have deliberated about writing this micah. Communication is not one of my strengths, and for self-conscious reasons I often regret what I post here. But I think I could pose my intial statement, Not exactly sure what you are carrying on about, to you as well. There is another frustrating issue with the player, and some new posters showed up. I am a bit embarrassed, especially as you included me in your first reply, and thought it would be proper to tell you that I think you were a bit overboard. I know that this a mere speck in the barrel of fun that is had here – take it as you will – I hope I am helping again.

I respectfully apologize if this was too heavy, misguided or a waste of time.
I am off now to see one of my favorite bands, Assembly of Dust. Here’s to a new year!

Oh, no v. It's good. I am sorry that I used your handle in my post.
As I am re-reading this thread I think you communicated clearly throughout. I do think that you are hard on yourself. This is your 'house' too v. At home, one should not worry about walking on eggshells or feel that most of their contributions are ones of regret. You are an important part of this place.
I may have taken the razor a bit close, but look at the 'peace, archive thread' above. Fresh green sprouts already.

sure is. on the other hand, I run into shows where the web player is frozen stiff and won't even light up the orange arrow.

The M3U set list generates a list of 94 junk files in my WinAmp media and the Windows player doesn't open at all...
